Brass Oblong Bell Pull

This is a rare Victorian item that we commissioned from a small Shropshire foundry. It is a mechanical bell pull on an oblong (1 3/8in wide by 3 1/2in long) backplate for use with a Butler's Bell to allow fitting of a bell pull on narrow door frames where space is limited. It is faithfully copied in recycled brass from an original example that we found some years ago.
