Iron Ring Bell Pull

This is a simple iron bell pull forged by our Shropshire blacksmith. Ideal for mounting on the exterior of a rustic property and designed for use with our Butler's Bell. The simple, informal design is that of, perhaps, a local C18th blacksmith shop as ours is based on a local, Ludlow, example that we found next to an early Georgian side door.

Supplied as it left the forge then with a hot dipped wax finish, this is an authentic live finish and will continue to evolve, especially if exposed to the elements. This, we consider, is a desirable attribute and part of its concept but oxidisation can be kept at bay by occasionally rubbing down with wire wool and applying a coat of beeswax furniture wax or a light oil such as 3-in-1.
